Meet the Principal
Hi, I’m Caryn – I’ve been with Drama Kids York for 18 years, 11 as Principal. I believe every child deserves to be nurtured as their own person, without pressure – just joy, encouragement and support. Watching them grow in confidence, creativity and performance is the best part of my job. I still teach 7 classes a week, alongside a brilliant, caring team (and help from my husband Jon backstage!). I hold a BA from Durham and LAMDA Grade VI, and was honoured to receive the CEO Award (2017), Franchisee of the Year (2022) and the Inspiration Award (2024). It’s truly the best job in the world.
